Several people have contacted me for gift ideas for the car nut in their life. To help them out I am posting my top ten gift ideas list for car enthusiast. I do not sell any of the items in the list, but they can be easily found on the internet.

1. Give them a Ferrari. No not the car that might prove a bit costly. A bottle of Ferrari Cologne can be purchased for around $30.00. It comes in a really cool box and the bottle will make them smile. So what does it smell like? Fragrancex.com describes it as follows: Ferrari Yellow Cologne by Ferrari, Launched by the design house of ferrari in 1997, ferrari yellow is classified as a refined, fruity fragrance. This masculine scent possesses a blend of a light and refreshing citrus. It is recommended for casual wear.

2. Diecast model car. Just about every make and model of car is availble in a detailed diecast model. The model in the photo is a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO it came from leagacydiecast.com. There are tens of thousands of other sites that have diecast cars. Prices vary from under $10 to several hundred dollars depending on size and detail.

3. A wrist watch with their favorite car logo on it. The Ferrari watch in the photo is made by Paneri and cost thousands. However you can find a watch for just about car company on ebay with prices starting under $10.00.

4. A one year subscrition to the NADA Guides car price guide. The NADA car price guide comes in several versions. My favorite is the Classic, Collectible, and Special Interest Car Appraisal Guide & Directory. A single issue cost $27.95 the annual subscription is $55.00 (3 updated issues per year). These can be purchased at nadaguides.com. These provide tons of entertainment for the car nut.

5. A MOMO shifter knob. MOMO is the italian company that makes the shifter knobs for the exotic sports cars like Lamborghini and Ferrari. They make models for manual and automatic shifters. Prices range from $50.00 to over $200.00. The one in the photo is in a Lamborghini.

6. Car logo jackets keep them warm and show off their favorite car. The jacket in the photo is from Cutter & Buck and sells for around $90.00 at zip-products.com

7. Tickets to the Barrett Jackson collector car auction held in Scottsdale, Arizona January 13th -20th. An 8 day pass cost $130.00 and can be pruchased at barrett-jackson.com. If you can't make the trip you can watch it on Speed TV so buy them some popcorn and the car pricing guide mentioned above.

8. A subscription to Hemmings Motor News. Hemmings publishes several differnt magazines for car enthusiast. You can get more information from their website at hemmings.com . The photo is from the cover of this months issue.

9. Automobile memorabilia is great to decorate the garage or the den. Every thing from vintage advertisements to dealer signs are available on ebay and prices start from under a $1.00 to as much as you want to spend.

10. Driving shoes, they are comfortable and stylish. You can get everything from leather loafers desgined with driving in mind to shoes patterned after the ones the race drivers wear. Prices range from Under $50.00 to over $200.00
